Stuart Bodden
PRESIDENT AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Stuart Bodden serves as our President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Bodden has over 20 years of experience in various executive roles in the oil and gas industry. Prior to joining Ranger Energy Services, Mr. Bodden was President and Chief Executive Officer at Express Energy Services in Houston, after previously serving as President Director for Pacific Oil and Gas in Singapore. Mr. Bodden was a Partner at McKinsey & Company in the Houston and Singapore offices, leading projects in the oilfield services and upstream oil and gas sectors during his 10+ year tenure. Mr. Bodden received his Bachelor of Science degree from Brown University and his Master of Business Administration from The University of Texas, Austin.
Melissa Cougle
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT AND CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Melissa Cougle serves as our Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Ranger Energy Services, Mrs. Cougle served as CFO of Frank’s International through its merger with Expro Group in 2021 and National Energy Services Reunited. She is a Board Member of Tidewater Incorporated and is an Advisory Board Member for the Energy Workforce & Technology Council. Mrs. Cougle has over 20 years of experience with roles spanning most areas of treasury, finance and accounting and an energy industry focus in services and manufacturing. Mrs. Cougle received her Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Jason Perry
VICE PRESIDENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Jason Perry serves as our Vice President of Information Technology. Previously, Mr. Perry served as our Director of Application Development after serving as our Senior Manager of Application Development from 2014 to 2022. He brings with him over two decades of IT experience in web application development, technology infrastructure, and workflow management. Before joining Ranger, Mr. Perry served as a software engineer in various industries building his knowledge and expertise of web applications, server software, and design solutions in the IT field. He received his Associate of Micro Computer Systems from Galveston College. Mr. Perry is also certified in various web applications and computer programming languages including SharePoint, Cold Fusion, Java, and Microsoft.Net.
J. Matt Hooker
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF WELL SERVICES
Matt Hooker serves as our Executive Vice President of Well Services. Mr. Hooker served as the Senior Vice President of Business Development at Express Energy Services from July 2015 until January 2017, and Senior Vice President of Drilling Services from January 2012 to July 2015. Previously, Mr. Hooker worked at Latshaw Drilling as Vice President of Operations. Prior to that, he served as the North American Regional/Country Manager for Saxon Drilling LP. Mr. Hooker began his career at Nabors Well Services LTD, where he held various positions culminating as Vice President of US Operations.
James Yaw
VICE PRESIDENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES
James Yaw serves as our Vice President of Human Resources. Mr. Yaw served as our Director of Employee Relations from June 2017 to January 2020. Prior to joining Ranger, Mr. Yaw served as a Senior Human Resources Business Partner at Parker Drilling. From June 2006 until June 2014, Mr. Yaw held positions of increasing responsibilities in various Operational and Human Resources Manager roles while serving in the US Army. His awards and decorations include the Major General William H. Gourley Leadership Award, Bronze Star, and multiple meritorious service medals. Mr. Yaw holds a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Education and a Master of Human Resources Management from Webster University.
Jim Kulis
VICE PRESIDENT OF QUALITY, HEALTH, SAFETY, AND ENVIRONMENT
Jim Kulis serves as Vice President of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment. Mr. Kulis has served as VP of QHSE for Ranger Rig Services Division since 2018. Prior to joining Ranger, he held senior-level QHSE and training management positions at C&J Energy Services and Nabors Completion and Production Services. He has extensive field experience and is a credentialed safety and training professional. Mr. Kulis holds a Master of Arts from San Francisco State University and is a Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) and a Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
Justin Whitley
GENERAL COUNSEL AND CORPORATE SECRETARY
Justin Whitley serves as our General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. Mr. Whitley has nearly 20 years of experience providing a diverse scope of legal support, including commercial transactions, oil and gas, operational support, litigation, and corporate governance. Previously, Mr. Whitley served as Deputy General Counsel for Parker Drilling from 2014 to 2022. He also represented clients in litigation matters for reputable firms including Winstead PC and Chamberlain Hrdlicka. A Lifetime Fellow with the Texas Bar Foundation, he was named a Texas Rising Star from 2010 to 2013 for his excellence in commercial litigation. In 2019, Mr. Whitley helped develop the strategy for a multimillion-dollar wage and hour claim case heard in the U.S. Supreme Court. The case was won 9-0. Mr. Whitley holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Texas at Austin, a Master of Education degree from the University of Houston, and a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Houston Law Center.
Tony Meszaros
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF WIRELINE SERVICES
Tony Meszaros serves as our Senior Vice President of Wireline Services. Mr. Meszaros has more than 30 years of energy industry experience focused on service-based, technology-minded, differentiated products. He previously served as President and CEO for Western Gulf Water Services, a water recycling service company based in the Permian Basin. Mr. Meszaros started his energy career at Schlumberger, where he spent 22 years advancing through wireline roles, first serving as a field engineer, sales, and regional field management. Notably he managed the US Land wireline business eventually joining Wireline global headquarters, directing a $1 billion global Wireline product portfolio. Mr. Meszaros also led the ThruBit organization from acquisition to global footprint. He then transitioned to private equity oilfield focused businesses. He served as Vice President of Sales for gas turbine remote power, Director of Unconventional Technologies for perforating products, and Managing Director for fiber optic applications. Mr. Meszaros received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.
Terrell Sosebee
VICE PRESIDENT OF TORRENT ENERGY SERVICES
Terrell Sosebee serves as our Vice President of Torrent Energy Services. He brings over 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with a strong background spanning sales, operations, and leadership. Mr. Sosebee has extensive expertise in natural gas processing, flare mitigation, mechanical integrity, inspection, and safety services. Throughout his career, he has driven growth and operational excellence in both field and corporate environments, combining technical understanding with strategic commercial insight. Mr. Sosebee previously held leadership roles with RigUp, ISN Software, and Total Safety.
